At Privatum, we find it important that our employees can pursue their ambitions within a supportive and pleasant work environment. This commitment is underscored by the results of our Happy At Work Survey for 2024. Where our work environment (97.9%) and professional development (93.8%) obtained near perfect scores. In this regard, we took the time to sit down with Tom Roefs, one of our consultants, to discuss his personal experience as a Privator.
When did you join Privatum?
“Almost a year ago, I made the decision to switch to Privatum as a consultant. And boy was it the right decision!”
What was your first impression of the work atmosphere?
“The employees and consultants are the heart and soul of every organization. But I got to discover how Privatum stands out in the competitive environment and what it really means to be a proud Privator!”
And what does that mean to you, to be a consultant at Privatum?
“Naturally, you are expected to be an expert in your field, to have gained experience and to constantly keep abreast of the latest developments and trends. Moreover, we deploy this expertise by offering pragmatic, solution-oriented and step-by-step solutions to our client’s specific needs. We want real added value for our client and prefer to build a long-term relationship. But it is not only this way of working that makes a consultant a Privator! “
What else makes a Privator in your opinion?
“The way we treat each other is a second requirement: a strong bond, trust and respect. We support and help each other where necessary, celebrate our successes together and offer a listening ear when needed.
But probably the most important requirement to be a Privator is rather a character trait: passion and commitment.”
Can you give an example of when you experienced this firsthand?
“During a meeting where everyone had to present their projects, it became clear to me that our passion and commitment connects us all. Not only the commitment to our client – as each individual spoke about their client as if they were an ambassador and regular employee -, but also the passion for what we do, the love for the profession.”
What is the one thing that makes you glad you decided to join Privatum?
“The way we work, the bond we have with each other, and our commitment and passion make me happy every day that I took this step. In short, I am incredibly proud to be part of the Privatum team and to call myself a true Privator!”
Tom Roefs’ personal experience as a Privatum consultant highlights the essence of what it means to be a Privator: blending expertise with a supportive culture, fostering genuine connections, and embodying passion and commitment beyond the workplace. His experience underscores our dedication to nurturing a fulfilling environment where professionals thrive, delivering exceptional value to clients and finding personal fulfillment in their roles.
As Privatum continues to grow, Tom’s story is a nice example of the characteristics we seek in our Privators — driven, supportive, and deeply passionate about making a difference.
