Professor Bart Preneel, a leading expert and head of the COSIC research group at KU Leuven, takes a closer look at this pressing question. With his extensive experience and his role as an advisor to industry and government on cybersecurity and privacy, he offers an illuminating overview of current developments. Can techniques such as homomorphic encryption, post-quantum cryptography, and differential privacy adequately protect our (personal) data today? With Erwin Maussen, we will dive into the AI-policy and practice at VRT, the national public service broadcaster for the Flemish Community of Belgium.
